Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part 2 is the second of three theatrical features adapting the manga's climactic Infinity Castle arc, in which the Demon Slayer Corps confronts Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Moon demons inside the dimension-warping Infinity Castle. Part 1, released in 2025, became a global box-office event, replicating the success of 2020's Mugen Train, which became Japan's highest-grossing film of all time.
Ufotable returns as the animation studio, with director Haruo Sotozaki at the helm. Part 2 covers the next major character confrontations inside the castle — including the Hashira-versus-Upper Moon battles widely seen as the manga's high-water mark for action choreography. The 2026 worldwide release will use the same staggered Japan-then-international rollout that Part 1 deployed.
Part 2 is expected to anchor on the Hashira fights — Tengen Uzui's swansong, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Giyu Tomioka facing off against various Upper Moons. Ufotable's signature blend of hand-drawn character animation and 3D-modeled environment dynamism is expected to peak in this entry.
