These Terms govern your use of WorldClockTools at worldclocktools.com (the "Service"), operated by Horizonfold Labs LLP ("we", "us"). By using the Service you accept these Terms.

1. The Service

WorldClockTools is a free, public reference for time-zone information, meeting planning, countdowns, and related tools. We make no commitment about availability and may modify or discontinue any feature.

2. No professional advice

Time-zone, holiday, and market-hour data is provided for informational purposes only. Do not rely on it for safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, scheduling, or operational decisions without independent verification. DST transitions and timezone definitions change; we make best-efforts updates but accept no liability for inaccuracies.

3. Acceptable use

  • You will not scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically harvest the Service in a way that disrupts the Service or places unreasonable load on it.
  • You will not attempt to compromise, reverse-engineer for the purpose of compromising, or interfere with the Service or its users.
  • You will not use the Service in violation of applicable law (including export controls, sanctions, and the IT Rules 2021 in India).
  • You will not use the Service to harass, defame, infringe IP, or distribute malware.

4. API and embed widgets

We expose JSON endpoints under /api/* and iframe widgets under /embed/* and /widgets/*. They are provided "as is" for non-commercial and reasonable commercial use, subject to fair-use rate limits we may enforce. You must:

  • Keep visible attribution to WorldClockTools where the widget renders.
  • Not remove or obscure links back to worldclocktools.com inside the widget.
  • Not re-publish API responses as a competing dataset.

We may revoke access for any embed if it violates these Terms or creates undue load. We may add or change rate limits without notice.

5. Intellectual property

Content, code, design, and trademarks of the Service are owned by Horizonfold Labs LLP or its licensors. We license you a limited, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. Underlying open data (e.g. IANA timezone database, Wikidata) retains its original licence terms.

6. User content

The Service does not require accounts and does not host content posted by users. Local features (watchlist, meeting planner) save to your browser only. If you subscribe to the newsletter or turn on a push reminder, we store the details described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Horizonfold Labs LLP and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages shall not exceed EUR 100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. gross negligence, wilful misconduct, statutory consumer rights).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is always at this URL with the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of India, except where you are a consumer and mandatory law of your residence applies.

12. India: IT Rules 2021 disclosure

For users in India: in compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we publish a Grievance Officer in our Privacy Policy. Prohibited content includes anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, threatening, invasive of privacy, or harmful to children, as listed in Rule 3(1)(b).
