How this days between dates page differs
Each calculator type uses the same interactive shell, so the page adds type-specific examples, edge cases, and canonical boundaries to avoid becoming a duplicate utility surface.
Best use case
Best when you have two fixed calendar dates and need the elapsed full-day distance between them.
Worked example
January 1 to January 31 returns 30 full days because the start date is excluded and the end date closes the interval.
Edge cases this page calls out
Leap-day ranges include February 29 · DST changes do not add or remove calendar days · Reverse ranges return a negative distance
Canonical calculation boundary
This route keeps the answer focused on deterministic calendar math. It does not emit schema for user-entered dates and does not claim country-specific public-holiday closures.
Calculations are deterministic calendar math. User-entered dates stay in the browser component and are not turned into crawlable pages or structured data.

FAQ
Does this count the start and end dates?▾
This calculator counts the number of full days between the two dates. The start date is not counted, the end date is. For example, January 1 to January 3 = 2 days.
Does it account for leap years?▾
Yes. The calculation uses actual calendar dates, so February 29 in leap years is included when it falls within the range.
