Mkuranga District Council is one of eight administrative districts of Pwani Region in Tanzania. The District covers an area of 2,827 km2 (1,092 sq mi). It is bordered to the north by Dar es Salaam's Kigamboni, Temeke and Ilala Districts. To the east by the Mafia Channel, to the south by Kibiti District, and to the west by Kisarawe District.
