Annual commemoration of the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Falls on Wednesday May 5, 2027. Widely observed in the US, less so in most of Mexico (where it is mainly a Puebla state holiday). Mexican music and food, parades, mariachi bands, ballet folklórico performances.
