The clock above counts down to World of Warcraft: Midnight, Blizzard's eleventh expansion to the long-running MMORPG, releasing March 2, 2026.
World of Warcraft: Midnight is the eleventh expansion to Blizzard's MMORPG and the second of three planned chapters in the Worldsoul Saga, following The War Within (2024) and preceding The Last Titan (TBA). Midnight returns players to Quel'Thalas, the high-elf homeland in northern Eastern Kingdoms, and centers on the conflict between the Ren'dorei (Void Elves), the Sin'dorei (Blood Elves), and the surviving Quel'dorei (High Elves) — a long-deferred narrative thread that dates back to Warcraft III.
Midnight introduces player housing as a flagship feature for the first time in the game's two-decade history — a frequently requested and long-resisted system that Blizzard finally committed to during BlizzCon's Worldsoul Saga reveal. The March 2, 2026 release is Blizzard's anchor live-service event of the year.
The expansion raises the level cap, introduces a new continent in Quel'Thalas, adds the player-housing system, and continues the Worldsoul Saga storyline begun in The War Within. New raids, dungeons, and the Demon Hunter / Void Elf class-race storyline are all expected to factor into the launch window.
World of Warcraft: Midnight launches March 2, 2026 with a 6:00 PM PT global rollout, the standard Blizzard expansion launch model. Pre-purchase early-access bundles are expected.
