The clock above counts down to the 2026 Madrid Grand Prix, the inaugural Formula 1 race at IFEMA Madrid, on September 13, 2026.
The 2026 Madrid Grand Prix is the inaugural F1 race at the new IFEMA Madrid circuit, a 5.47-kilometer hybrid layout combining street sections with purpose-built corners around the IFEMA convention center on the northern edge of the city. The 22-turn track is designed for both spectacular high-speed sections and tight street-style braking zones, modeled in part on what worked for the Las Vegas Grand Prix while keeping a more traditional permanent-pit-paddock structure.
The race anchors the late-September European leg of the new-regulation 2026 F1 season — the first under the new power-unit and chassis rules that brought Audi and Cadillac into the sport. Madrid is positioned as a co-Spanish Grand Prix alongside the continued Barcelona round, though long-term, IFEMA Madrid is expected to take over as Spain's exclusive F1 round once Barcelona's contract winds down.
The Madrid Grand Prix runs Friday-Saturday-Sunday, September 11-13, 2026. Practice and qualifying air on F1 TV, Sky Sports F1 (UK), and ESPN (US). The race itself begins Sunday afternoon Madrid time.
