The Latin Grammys are the premier honors for Spanish- and Portuguese-language music globally, the Latin counterpart to the Recording Academy's Grammy Awards. La Mayor Noche de la Musica Latina splits the night between Spanish-language hosts and a roster of performances that historically combines arena-scale pop stars with regional music breakouts.
Nominations are announced in mid-September. Expected frontrunners across the major fields include Bad Bunny (whose 2025 album DeBI TiRAR MaS FOToS dominated the year), Karol G, Shakira, Rauw Alejandro, Peso Pluma, Carin Leon, Edgar Barrera (the prolific producer-songwriter who swept 2024), Anitta, and Christian Nodal. The Big Four general fields are Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Expect Univision's broadcast to lean heavily on regional Mexican performances reflecting the genre's continued chart dominance, plus tribute segments and the Person of the Year gala honoree (announced separately each year).
The Latin Grammys broadcast live on Univision in the US and on TNT/Tudn across Latin America. Univision's pre-show La Alfombra (red carpet) typically begins at 7:00 PM ET. The main ceremony airs at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT, which is 1:00 BST on November 13, 2:00 CET on November 13, and 6:30 IST on November 13. ViX streams the show in Spanish-speaking markets, and selected performances are released to the Latin Grammys YouTube channel after the broadcast.
